Building and history

Hull designed by the legendary Ron Holland: deep draught, fin keel, fully encapsulated lead ballast with sump and large bilge. Deck material: 25 mm balsa fibreglass, 50 mm in the cockpit.
The deck is solid and dry, with no soft spots, and a new anti-slip coating was applied to the deck in 2019.
In 2021 the hull was fully treated to eliminate pin-sized blisters. Fibre bottom ground and re-epoxied, resin and three coats of soft bottom paint. On the gel coat: removal of all the small deformations and cracks using a Dremel drill and sealing with epoxy, then new gel coat paint.
