Construction

Lagoon 440 4-cabin sandwich foam polyester catamaran, built in 2007 by the LAGOON shipyard, to Van Peterghem & Lauriot Prévost designs.
The Lagoon 440 was designed using the latest developments in ocean-going multihull design.
At first glance, the attention paid to aesthetics and efficiency is obvious: on deck, the roof lines are taut, the shapes dynamic, the volumes and ergonomics optimized.
The hull is powerful and, above all, very safe, while the volume of the bows and great attention to weight distribution keep pitching to a minimum. The gull-wing shape of the nacelle is a major improvement, allowing smooth passage through the sea.
The slender sail plan and slender hull appendages make the Lagoon 440 a fast, seaworthy, comfortable and elegant catamaran. The elevated helm station, centrally positioned, offers a unique view of the boat and brings together all maneuvers.
The large bench seat at the helm quickly becomes the ideal place to share the joys of sailing, while the forward cockpit is the ideal place to dream or contemplate the sea, whether underway or at anchor.
