Building and history

Sailboat ketch type Maramu built in 1995 by the shipyard AMEL LA ROCHELLE.
Comfortable offshore sailboat. The reference and sturdy Amel. Allows you to navigate far and easily in couple or family safely.
This unit belongs to its current owners since 2011; he is ready to go for big trip or to delight you in a coastal program. The boat sailed in the Mediterranean before crossing the Atlantic for the West Indies, then the American coast. The owners decided to continue their trip to Tahiti through the Galapagos, Gambiers, Marquesas Islands and Society Islands.

A word from the owner

When we decided to buy our boat to sail around the world, and after visiting several yards we decided that the Amel SUPER MARAMU was the perfect boat for us like a couple.
We had the opportunity to visit the yard in La Rochelle, France to see and understand how their boats are built and we were after this visit even more convinced of their responsibility to do their boats.
We found a lot of advantages on the AMEL boat like the SUPER MARAMU:
- Central cockpit that brings security and comfort
- Easy to work with the sails from the center cockpit (just one person can do the job without going out the cockpit)
- The interior is nice, elegant and classic (the wood work with mahogany is beautiful)
- Working on the engine room is easy and comfortable
- The aft cabin for guest is comfortable and private
- The quality and safety of the AMEL construction has been proved over the years
We bought this sailboat in 2011 and since we are happy sailing and living in as our home.
