Building and history

Sloop-rigged sailboat, Nissen LDB 40 type built in Germany in 1997.
Amateur construction designed by the architect Georg Nissen.
The underwater are made of Strip planking sandwich fiberglass Epoxy resin with core made of wooden slats in Red Cedar. A layer of Kevlar fabric was applied to the exterior of the live works up to 30 cm above the waterline.
Steel keel with 1 700kg lead (3700 pound) adding 1 000 L (2 200 pound) of ballast in each side (6 compartments).
The keel cover is made of welded steel sheets, the bulb constituting the ballast is bolted in the lower part of the cover.
