Building and history

Catamaran built by the PSP yard in Saint Brieuc in 1985 to designs by Joubert-Nivelt. She was built entirely in sandwich construction, with a Divincell core reinforced with carbon and Kevlar.
As soon as she was launched, she took part in a number of ocean races, including the Québec-Saint-Malo race and the Course de l'Europe under the name Jean Stalaven.
The boat was shipped from France to Tahiti. It took them 11 days to sail from the Galapagos to the Marquesas. The record distance covered in 24 hours during this convoy is 375 miles. From 1992 onwards, the boat was used as a charter boat in Polynesia, then in New Caledonia.
In Noumea, a temporary, removable cabin was installed, and the mast was reduced, before returning to Polynesia in 2021 during the Covid period. She is now sold by her current owner due to a change in project.
Very easy to use, very stable and fast boat. Can carry a lot of weight, surface area on the water: 250 m2.
